The Rosenberg Institute for East Asian Studies

Rosenberg Institute Director: Ronald Suleski, Ph.D.

The Barbara and Richard M. Rosenberg Institute for East Asian Studies was established at Suffolk University in 2007. The Institute promotes an awareness of Asian Studies to the Suffolk University community and to the general public of Boston and New England. The Institute carries out this mission by sponsoring visiting scholars, and by offering events and lectures by specialists on Asia which are open to the Suffolk Community and the general public.

The visiting scholars at Suffolk who come from Asia to spend a year in residence regularly give talks and join in panel discussions. Additionally, the Rosenberg Institute supports Suffolk faculty professional development by helping to support conference memberships, research travel, scholarship publication assistance, etc. The Rosenberg Institute works with other faculty and student organizations at Suffolk and within the larger Asia-focused community to promote the scholarly exchange of ideas, opinions, research, and contact.
