Custom map of Boston Chronicle Advertisements, 1932-1944
Files
Description
In the Spring of 2026, Moakley Archive intern Isabel Neves (Suffolk University Class of 2030) created a custom Google map plotting out the locations of businesses advertising in the Chronicle. The map covers 1932-1944, and each entry includes an image of the ad, the physical location of the business, a transcription of the ad text, and a link to the ad within the Chronicle issue. The map is also searchable by keyword or business category.
