The following digitized images from the Thomas F. Lambert Jr. Papers document aspects of Lambert’s life and career. The photographs include headshots, snapshots from his time studying at Oxford in the 1930s, as well as his travels around Europe. While traveling in Germany in 1937, he witnessed parades and public events held by the Nazi Party, including the visit of Italian leader Benito Mussolini. There are also photographs from Lambert’s time as a prosecutor in the 1946 trial of German Nazi Party official Martin Bormann at the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal.
