Description

Suffolk University officially unveiled its new alma mater during the school’s Centennial celebration in 2006. Lyrics were composed by English professor and poet Fred Marchant and his wife Stefi Rubin, and music was composed by alumnus Emilio Aragon ’04. Aragon, a celebrity in his native Spain, is known for his achievements as a musician, composer, singer, actor, producer, and television director. He visited the Studio Theatre in the summer of 2006 specifically to preview the new alma mater for a Suffolk audience. The Hobart S. Yates Ensemble debuted the song on September 2nd during the Centennial ceremonies on Boston Common.
