The Congressman John Joseph Moakley Papers, 1926- 2001, consists of 521 boxes of materials accumulated during the congressman's life and work. The collection documents his early life, his World War II service, his service in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate and the U.S. Congress. Also included in this set are digitized items related to Congressman Moakley's work in El Salvador from the following collections: Enemies of War Collection and the Jamaica Plain Committee on Central America Collections.
